A CURE FOR STRESS?

As nurses, we have a ton of stress. Between the anxiety of the patient load, short staffing, long hours and the pandemic, we sometimes look for things to help us sleep. Prescription medication is addicting and over the counter medications may have side effects. Benadryl can cause a hang over and Melatonin may contribute to restless legs. One thing that has helped me personally have less anxiety and better sleep is Ashwaganda .Many people are looking into the positive effects. According to a 2012 randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study, people who were given a high-concentration for sixty days had a reduction in cortisol and reduced stress compared to the control group.
